Fashion Plates were the ultimate past time for the young girl back in the 1980's. You put different styles together with friends and traced their outline and pattern with colored pencils. Then you hung them up on the walls in your bedroom. Tres chic.

When I was younger I used to go over my friends house where we'd make concoctions of these barbie scents and I'd leave with a bottle of perfume. Very cool and fun in those days. She also had a small child's oven in which we'd make vanilla cakes and cover them with chocolate icing. 

Woke up in my bedroom the morning of my birthday to see the sun streaming through this amazing Barbie house that had appeared in my room. Totally overjoyed.

Found this van hidden in the attic. Thrilling moment.
